This is a parting shot of an orangutan from Gunung Palung as my team and family have now moved on to other locations. This male orangutan is actually making what we call a kiss-squeak call – a loud smack made with lips in kissing position - which is what orangutans do when they are a little upset because another orangutan, or a person is getting a little too close to them.
