I just met with Dr. Cook the Chief Neurologist at lauderdale Veterinarian Specialty Hospital and his first statement is we have encouraging news, either a miracle from God or Katie’s pure strength and will to live. She’s beginning to regain sensation in her hind quarters and also improved nerve impulse. She’s even trying to stand. One leg is not broken as badly as original thought.

Key issues needed improved prior to surgery:
Her blood platelets will improve on their own.
Her blood protein will improve on its own.
Her free air pocket is improving
All of this means a plan for surgery can be now put into place which, Dr. Cook and the orthopedic surgeon Dr. Bennett will discuss today. Its very important to get her legs fixed and get her walking.

She will remain in ICU for the next two-three days. Surgery plan in place today.

KATIE IS A TOUGH GIRL AS I’VE SAID ALL ALONG AND NOW THE DOCTORS ARE BELIEVING ME. KATIE WANT TO LIVE AND WALK AND PLAY AND CHASE SQUIRRELS AGAIN AND SHE WILL.

WE NEED YOUR PRAYERS AND YOUR FINANCIAL SUPPORT AND WE NEED IT NOW. THERE IS MORE THAN HOPE NOW THERE IS REAL MEDICAL EVIDENCE THAT KATIE CAN NOT ONLY MAKE IT BUT RETURN TO A NORMAL LIFE.
