I have been getting a lot of emails and comments lately about how I should, or should not, live my life. It's all opposing: I shouldn't wear makeup because it makes me look ugly - or I should wear makeup because it makes me look prettier. I shouldn't post pictures of anything other than yoga because no one cares - or I should because it's a fun peek into my real life. I shouldn't share my travels because I'm bragging - or I should, because it's exciting and inspirational to see. The list goes on and on. I should do this and I shouldn't do that. So many people have opinions about how I live my life, some of them so strong that they feel the need to sit down and write me pages upon pages about how I should be living my life differently. The worst is when I get long emails from people telling me they used to live by my words BUT now dislike everything I do. The thing is: I take everything personally. It's who I am. I read every comment and every email and I take most of it to heart because I don't know how not to. But if I would listen to every single thing people tell me I would end up completely paralyzed! I can't please everyone. I can only live my life exactly the way it pleases me to and share what I want to share with the world. That means makeup right now and it means travels because I'm traveling and I work hard to be able to do so. It means less yoga because my practice is crammed into hotel rooms and I am not prioritizing yoga photography right now. It means whatever the hell else I want to post! My life. My decisions. Please. Look to others for inspiration, but don't get too caught up in their lives. Don't judge. Don't compare. Don't let jealousy sneak it's way into your life. You and you alone are in charge of your life situation. Your life did not happen by accident. Change the way you look at things and the things you look at will change. See the light. Stay in the light and if you're patient (and stop spewing negativity onto others on the internet) the light will come to you. I love you, meanies. I love you. All of you. If I didn't I wouldn't care. I love you. I love you I love you I love you. Now, take that and turn it into something good.
