Photo: Robert Clark | #BogBodies the #TollundMan is a naturally preserved #mummified #corpse of a man who lived in the 4th century BCE, he was found in 1950 on the #Jutland Penisula in #Denmark & buried in a #peatbog which preserved his body in such excellent condition that they first thought that he was a recent murder. The nearly perfectly preserved noose tells the story of his last moments of life. The body is on display at the #SilkeborgMuseum on Denmark and is believed to have been a ritual sacrifice. @ナショナルジオグラフィック @thephotosociety @instituteartist @Robert Clark
