Photo by @gordonwiltsie One downfall of having shot film for a large part of my career is that I can’t scan my slides fast enough and occasionally pictures that I love get lost in file cabinets. Just last week I came upon this long-forgotten image of a stormy sunrise that lasted only moments as it lit up the glaciated east face of 14,480-foot Nevado Sacsarayoc in the #CordilleraVilcabamba range in the #Andes of #Peru. This is an unpublished picture from “Mystery Mountain of the Inca,” a story I shot for the February 2004 issue of Nat Geo Magazine. #mountains #sunrise #glaciers
