@Instagram founder, Kevin Systrom, spoke with Design Milk yesterday to share the announcement of Instagram 6.0, an important update available today which brings 10 new image/editing tools for both iOS and Android devices, including brightness, contrast, saturation and more.
Each editing tool comes with a slider that allows you to adjust how much to apply each effect, with a before and after effects preview. The other new addition is all existing filters are now adjustable in strength using a slider tool. Systrom told Design Milk these changes were in direct response to user feedback to make existing tools better, following what he called the "80/20 Rule" (80% effort to make existing core features better, 20% investment into new features), but stayed mum about any new upcoming filter sets, multi-user log-in options, or embeddable image or text linking in future releases. #instagram #photography
