#TBT from the Guggenheim Archives - This photograph by John Albok, which features a Good Humor truck outside the Guggenheim Museum on 88th street, captures the return of spring. Albok, a Hungarian photographer who immigrated to the United States in 1921, established a tailor shop on the Upper East Side and spent the next 60 years photographing his neighborhood and its street life. Most likely taken in the early 1960s, the photo presents a pleasure we can we can all still relate to: ice cream on a warm day ?
