This morning, four 10-week-old African lion cubs passed their swim reliability test! They were able to keep their heads above water, navigate to the shallow end of the moat, and climb onto dry land. Now that they have passed this critical step, the cubs will soon be able to explore the yard with mom Shera, aunt Naba, and Naba’s cubs. All that’s left is for these cubs to receive their vaccinations. They should be on exhibit just in time for Father’s Day!
But you won’t have to wait long to see Naba’s two cubs—they’ll be on exhibit starting this Friday, May 9! (They passed their swim test in early April.) Meet them every day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., weather permitting.
