@freddiewilkinson and #MikeLibecki climbing a new route in the Wolthat Range of Queen Maud Land #antarctica. One of the things that I've had to face in my photography is a certain one dimensionality. Years of my archive looks and feels very much the same. In the past four years, I've tried very hard to break free of the 'easy' and look harder at composition. I've tried to incorporate more story by including more layers, using the stepping off and stepping back as an allegory for the larger narrative arc. It's just another tool in a an ever growing quiver. Sometimes it works, sometimes it falls flat...but I like to think of the frames that do come together well as more articulate.
