Tourists look out over the grand vistas of Dead Horse State Park, located just outside of The Islands in the Sky section of Canyonlands NP. This overlook is gorgeous, but one mistake I see a lot of people make is focusing only on the "grand vistas" instead of what's going on around them. Sure, the vistas are beautiful, but be sure to inspect not just the vista, but also the surroundings...you may just find a much more interesting shot (like this one). Photo by @magnumji
