Hey guys, @richburnsred_art here showing my geeky side...yet again! I absolutely love batman and I absolutely love computer games.....so the two combined are just a match made in heaven for me. This is the reveal picture of a brand new character, created by Rocksteady for their upcoming game "Arkham Knight" and he is called "Arkham knight". I love how much games have progressed graphically over the years, as it really helps immerse you in the experience.
There is however a constant debate whether or not video games should be classed as an art form, I think they without a doubt should be, I mean look at the creativity and design behind this one character!! What do you think about games though? An art form or not?
Anyway, I really struggled to find out who the artist was behind this amazing design, but I found out that the lead character artist for Rocksteady games is named Albert feliu, who is a Spanish professional modeller and digital artist. So I think it is fair to assume that he had a huge part to play in this. He does not have a personal website as Rocksteady keep a tight lid on things to avoid leaks, however he does have a lot of cool work on http://dds.cgsociety.org , which is well worth a look!
Quick fun fact: this one character has the same number of polygons as the WHOLE environment of Arkham asylum (the first in the rocksteady trilogy). Now that is impressive!
