18-year-old #gorilla, Imani, recently gave birth to a baby girl by emergency c-section at the @sdzsafaripark. The baby showed complications and recently underwent surgery for a collapsed lung. Thanks to the expertise of @sdzsafaripark staff, aided by a human neonatal specialist and an anesthesiologist from UC San Diego Health System, the procedure was a success and she is breathing better on her own.
