I'm just wrapping up my edit from one of my all-time, most meaningful assignments: photographing His Holiness the Dalai Lama at a talk last Saturday in San Francisco, sponsored by the American Himalayan Foundation. His radiance, calm, and even mirth resonated through the symphony hall. Backstage was spooky, though. I have never seen so many secret service agents and cops of every ilk.
