What started out as inside meme with a group of skaters, "Andre has a posse", has blossomed into one of the most iconic graphic design legacies. Shepard Fairey @Shepard Fairey is an illustrator and street artist (16 arrests for installing!) most well known for the 2008 Hope poster for the @Barack Obama campaign. We share a common concern about human rights, inequality and the health of the planet. We catch up and exchange ideas. We are looking for ways to engage the two communities we represent, urban art & outdoor adventure, in dialogue. We are all #onepeopleoneplanet ~~~ ~~~ Recently Shepard worked with native groups to Honor the Treaties. His effort with @argonautphoto is pretty legit. As a thank you the American Indian Movement presented him with a beaded pendant with the Andre the Giant motif, the sacred peace pipe and a feather. Ringed with raptor talons and backed by buckskin this is a testament to Shepard's worthiness.
