Photo by @Thomas Peschak A free diver swims beneath a tiger shark off South Africa’s East coast. 5000 miles across the Indian Ocean, Western Australia’s controversial shark-culling program just reported it’s first kill in January 2014. A large tiger shark was hooked on a drumline and shot. The aim of the culling program is to reduce incidents of fatal shark bites, but it has met with strong resistance and condemnation from both the public and sectors of the scientific community. @photosociety, #sharks #australia #southafrica
