An Oryx, or Gemsbok, runs up the dunes in the Namib-Naukluft National Park in southern Namibia. I really grew to love these beautiful creatures...their faces are painted like clowns but yet they have the most majestic horse-like gallop. Their beauty, and their incredible adaptation to the desert environment where they thrive in temperatures reaching 48 degrees Celsius, has made them the national symbol/animal of Namibia. Excellent choice, in my opinion. Photo by @magnumji
