U.S. beach volleyball players Tri Bourne and John Hyden participated in a rally at the AVP event in Santa Barbara that was No. 3 on ESPN SportsCenter’s Top 10.
When did you hear that you had made the Top 10?
Hyden: “I had heard we might be on the Top 10, but I didn’t know for sure. Then the kid texted me before it was coming on and said to watch. It got down to No. 5 and I told my wife, ‘I don’t know if we’re on, honey.’ Being No. 3 is pretty sweet.” Did you think the two plays at No. 1 and 2 were better than yours?
Hyden: “I don’t even remember what they were. They probably were.”
Bourne: “A collegiate baseball catch and a soccer play. Ours was better.” #usavolleyball
