Photo by @fnordfoto. The fruiting bodies of a saprobic fungi rise from the leaf litter. This mushroom is from the Tricholomatacea group, maybe the Mycena genus, a spore print is needed for species identification. These fungi decompose the leaf litter on the forest floor and the fungal mycelium can be seen when turning over leaves.
