#aimtruechallenge Day 10 - share what Aim True really means to you. Can't believe these days past so quickly! Posting late as I just got to Bonaire for our September retreat. Our yoga space has a gorgeous view of the ocean and it was the perfect spot for the last day of the challenge. Aim True to me is all about following your own path, being who you are and embracing the space you're in. I'm aiming true here in Bonaire leading a retreat full of wonderful people at such a magical space. It took a while for me to become comfortable as a yoga teacher - when I first started out I thought I had to take on a role of being a certain type of teacher, separate to the person I really am. I had this idea in my head that a really good yoga teacher has to be very silent, stoic, strict... Opposite of everything I am! I finally realized that being a good teacher means being who you really are, sharing what yoga means to you. It means my classes will be loud and full of laughter and fun and love and people falling over... Just the way I am. Aiming true is embodying who you really are and sharing your strengths. Finding my own style of teaching meant finding my own students; people that are just like me! Realizing this was the most important step I took towards teaching full time and turning this wonderful way of life into a way of making a living.
