A view of one of the floating islands of Lake #Titicaca, Puno, #Peru....as seen from a reed boat. Home to the Uros people, who pre-date the Incan civilization, these islands are made (and constantly re-made) from the totora reeds which provide home, sustenance and transportation. A visit to these islands is a very interesting experience indeed. Try to find a local to take you instead of joining the large tourist groups....it will be a much better experience.
