Photo by @randyolson (Randy Olson) - There are only 4 pure El Molo left in the world. This woman is part El Molo and part Turkana. El Molo are the fishermen on Lake Turkana. But the lake only has one inlet and no outlet so high concentrations of minerals and fluoride gather in their one and only resource. The El Molo stopped (somewhat) drinking the lake water a few years ago, but you can see the effects on everyone in the tribe… in their eyes, their teeth and their bones that have softened and given way.
