Photo: @pedromcbride (Pete McBride). The iconic #ColoradoRiver that supports 36 million people is seen here in #Utah's #Canyonlands Ntl. Park. Sadly, it's story isn't so pretty. Lakes #Powell and #Mead just reached all time record lows. Downstream, the river stops. It flowed to the sea for 6 million years, but the #mighty Coloradie stopped in the late 90s. Having worked to raise #awareness on this river for years, I'm pleased to see businesses stepping up to #help. Today is Colorado #River Day and all Whole Foods Markets in CO, UT, NM will donate 5% of their net sales to benefit the #NatureConservancy's Colorado River Program. #drought #thirsty #riverrundry #archive #aerial
