Hello everybody! Brendan Hoffman here (@hoffmanbrendan). For the rest of the week, I'll be your guide to Webster City, Iowa, and the Hamilton County Fair. It's a full schedule, starting with tonight's parade right up through the demolition derby on Sunday. Background: in March 2011, the washing machine factory here in town closed and moved to Juarez, Mexico. In a city of 8000 people, the plant employed 2000 at one point, and the local economy has taken a hit. I've been documenting the town for the past two years. This is a picture of Alley, age 8, with Trigger, her entry in the model horse competition.
