Our winner of @thephotosociety May Fan Photo Contest is Jordan Gurren (@gurrenj) with his image of a lightening storm. Here is the caption for the image: “The powerful storm that produced the Moore Tornado lights up the Texas sky. Photo taken on May 20, 2013.” Our judge this month was @ナショナルジオグラフィック photographer Michael Yamashita (@Michael Yamashita). Here is what he had to say about the image. “This photograph was the clear winner for me. A dramatic moment in nature that’s very difficult to capture especially from a moving car. Warm and cool leading lines of the road take the viewers eye to a complex lightning pattern accentuated by the focal point of the bright yellow bus. Dark blue sky adds to the drama. Vision and technical skills with a good dose of luck combine to make this unusual situation a winner.
