Paloma Picasso, Learning Through Art teaching artist, circa 1989. This year marks the 42nd anniversary of Learning Through Art at the Guggenheim, an artist residency program that sends teaching artists to New York City public schools. Paloma Picasso, Keith Karing, Robert Rauschenberg, and Wynton Marsalis are a few of the remarkable artists that have participated in the program in past years.

LTA's year-end exhibition, A Year With Children 2013, opens this Friday, May 3 at the Guggenheim.
