The January 2013 issue of @ナショナルジオグラフィック magazine carries a story I photographed with a team of four other @ナショナルジオグラフィック photographers on Yasuni National Park, Ecuador, one of the jewels of the Amazon rain forest threatened by oil development. I wanted to share this unpublished shot, which is one of my favorites that did not make it into the article. Here you see the early morning mist blanketing the forest along the Tiputini River. I must tell you it was a pretty amazing feeling hovering above this scene in a helicopter with the door removed. #Amazon, #Ecuador
