Alexander Girard’s “Alphabet” print was originally designed for Herman Miller’s textile division in 1960. The print was only released a second time over 60 years later when we partnered with Girard’s estate. To continue Girard’s emphasis of quality materials, we had “Alphabet” reproduced on 100% cotton Oxford woven and printed in Como, Italy. The last image here shows a few original swatches of the design, including the cobalt blue colorway we reproduced #MadeInUSA #WovenInItaly
