I’ve experienced many modes of transportation, but there is something uniquely special about being in a hot-air balloon. The intermittent silence and the sensation of being gently carried instantly reminded me of childhood dreams of floating. Predawn flights—ascending as the sun broke the horizon and feeling the thermals and wind direction rapidly change—placed me in direct contact with the elements in a way few other experiences have. | In the Silver State find the unexpected, the uncommon, and all the things in between.
