To look back at over a decade of impact and service, I can’t help but be overwhelmed with joy. For all of my life, there have been so many people who have poured into me so that I could become the woman and athlete I am today. And for that, I am beyond grateful. From that gratitude I founded the Pocket Rocket Foundation on the basis of making a REAL impact in communities where we live and work. To give student-athletes the same chance I had to dream and to plant seeds today for their tomorrow. When I look at the recipients year after year, I see me. I see where they come from and I see who they are going to become. Seventy-three students are just the tip of the iceberg, and I want to be able to touch as many lives as possible. Focused on striking the balance between sports and education for a well-rounded life, we help students see that: -they can choose something different, -that they are equipped to be leaders, -and that they are destined for more. From beginning to end you have been there, pouring into our foundation’s work and into the individual homes of students within our program. It is your generosity that helps us fuel the futures of student-athletes so they can soar to new heights.
