Over the past few years the ink on my fingers has faded in places, blurred and lost definition as the body's metabolism and circulation naturally breaks down tattoos. The hands are a known area for losing ink, but I'd hoped that with frequent top-up's it might last, but sadly not. Whilst I'm a huge fan of tattoos and absolutely adore my bodyart, I also want it to look it's very best, and so having faded and blurry ink is really not for me. As you can see from my first treatment here, in just a few quick zaps my appointment was complete and I could return to my day. The number of sessions needed to entirely remove a tattoo is dependant on the individual, their metabolism and lifestyle, so it's hard to predict how stubborn tattoos on different people, and in different areas of the body, can be - but it's always possible! We also have the choice to lighten unwanted tattoos to make getting a coverup tattoo more successful, or to remove them entirely and return to clear skin if we choose. With the advancement of technology tattoos are no longer for life and do not have to be a permanent regret. Seeing as my fingers cannot retain ink I will be removing my hand tattoos entirely and will continue to love and celebrate the rest of my bodyart.
