What they are not telling you is that the synthetic form of B6 that is in almost everything is harmful. It’s called pyridoxine. About 5% of the pyridoxine B6 synthetic form can convert into the form your body needs called P5P. Unfortunately, the synthetic 95% clogs up your receptors so you effectively don’t get any B6. Even worse, it can take more than two years for your B6 receptors to clear when you stop taking synthetic B6. In high doses, pyridoxine can cause neuropathy — a condition that damages peripheral nerves, leading to symptoms like numbness, tingling, or even balance problems. The reason is that excess pyridoxine can interfere with the body's normal nerve signaling processes. What’s even worse is that 10 mg is enough to start symptoms. You are probably getting more than that every day from all of your supplements. What's interesting though, is that P5P, or Pyridoxal 5'-Phosphate, the form of Vitamin B6 I have recommended since the beginning of the biohacking movement, doesn't cause the same issues. P5P is the active form of Vitamin B6 and is directly used in the body's metabolic processes without any conversion, unlike pyridoxine which needs to be converted into P5P to be useful. That’s why P5P doesn’t cause neuropathy like pyridoxine does. Your body can regulate the amount of P5P more effectively, using what it needs and eliminating any excess. Pyridoxine overloads your body's conversion process. Toss out any supplement containing B6. Don’t get IVs with B6. If it’s not P5P or active B6, it’s not biologically compatible. Vitamin B6 is critically important for your nervous system. That’s why companies put it in just about every supplement.

If it’s not P5P or active B6, it’s not biologically compatible.
