✨We are all carrying pieces of shadow and pieces of light.

Think of us collectively like one of those fancy ladies’ hand mirrors from the 1920s; you need both sides (the back and the front) in order for the mirror to serve its purpose — which is to reflect. Now imagine that the mirror has been shattered and each of us are a piece of the fractalized front and back of a mirror. When we point ourselves toward the light, we make the world brighter for all, because with our own shiny selves, we’re able to reflect more light.

BUT an essential part of this journey is to realize that we are also the back of the mirror. I’m using this as a metaphor to demonstrate the necessity of claiming, owning and integrating the shadow parts of our own not-yet-illuminated pieces and also the collective unconscious that we have been chosen to carry. In some ways that might make it easier - realizing that you’re doing this work not just for yourself, but for The All.

Being willing to discover our shadow is the most valuable tool for the discovery of our light. ✨
