Meet Pumuckel, an endangered yellow-cheeked gibbon @eprc.vietnam . This species exhibits sexual dimporphism - meaning that males and females look different from one another. While all yellow-cheeked gibbons are born blonde so that they blend with their mother’s fur, both sexes eventually turn black. While males will remain black, females like Pumuckel turn back to blonde when they reach sexual maturity, with only a black cap remaining on the top of their heads.
