Meet the Goodman’s mouse lemur - a small, nocturnal primate that spends most of its
time alone. While they are solitary in nature, a hierarchy still exists among individuals; one in which females come out on top. Because females are the dominant sex, they will often win altercations with males over food, meaning the males must work harder and travel further in search of resources. In some cases, researchers have found that a male’s foraging area may be up to four times the size of a female’s in order to ensure he can secure adequate access to food. Photo taken @zooplzen.
