The @FondationLV is launching a retrospective dedicated to the exceptional career of #MarkRothko, the first major exhibition dedicated to the artist in France since 1999. Subtly titled “Mark Rothko,” the exhibition features 115 works of art displayed in chronological order, allowing the visitor to easily follow the American artist's stylistic evolution, from his earliest figurative paintings to the abstract works that have become a signature for him today. L'exposition évènement de l'automne vient d'ouvrir ses portes : la Fondation Louis Vuitton inaugure une rétrospective exceptionnelle consacrée à Mark Rothko, la dernière exposition majeure consacrée à l’artiste en France avait pris place en 1999. Sobrement intitulée «Mark Rothko» ce sont ici quelques 115 tableaux qui sont exposés sur les cimaises de la Fondation dans un parcours chronologique afin de retracer au mieux les évolutions stylistiques du peintre américain, de ses premières peintures figuratives jusqu’à l’abstraction qui définit aujourd’hui son œuvre.
