For the occasion Jennifer Aniston wears a custom made Valentino dress, inspired by the one created for the Golden Globes in 2010. The showrunner and executive producer, Charlotte Stoudt, had the idea of incorporating Fashion Week into an episode given the timeline of the new season of “The Morning Show” which jump-started the conversation around collaborating with a fashion designer to create an event as part of the storyline for episode 307. As soon as the conversations started about possible designers, Jennifer Aniston said, “Valentino.” Jennifer has a history with Valentino and has known the Creative Director, Pierpaolo Piccioli, for over a decade, had the pleasure of being dressed by him for The Oscars and The Golden Globes. It was a collective agreement that Pierpaolo Piccioli’s Valentino Pink PP collection would be the perfect bold vibe for the episode and an ideal backdrop for the other storylines that come crashing together in episode 307, creating the kind of juxtaposition viewers know and love on “The Morning Show.” Costume designer Sophie de Rakoff worked closely with Nicole Beharie to find the perfect gown from the collection and Jennifer Aniston had the idea of doing an ‘homage’ to the custom made black dress Pierpaolo Piccioli had created for her for The Golden Globes in 2010 – a one shoulder black dress in silk cady.
