Happy Sunday! Here’s a hog-nosed shrew rat (Hyorhinomys stuempkei) to brighten your day. Found on Sulawesi Island in Indonesia, this critter feeds on small invertebrates, such as earthworms and arthropods. In addition to its distinctive flat, pink nose, it also has remarkably long incisors! This species was unknown to science until as recently as 2015.
