Step into the week with the blue-sided leaf frog (Agalychnis annae). This species is recognizable thanks to its vibrantly colored flanks, which feature shades of pink, lavender, and blue. It's able to change its colors, too. At night, the hues of this amphibian’s body darken to shades of green and deeper blue. This nocturnal frog can be found in parts of Costa Rica and Panama. Unfortunately, it’s threatened by human activity including pollution and habitat destruction.
