It beautifully compares the purity of one's heart to the clear and pure moon reflected in a crystal-clear blue pond during mid-autumn. The tradition of moon viewing and admiring the beauty of the autumn moon is also said to have originated in China. Appreciating the moon's beauty is a reflection of one's own beautiful heart. The heart that we are born with should be even more gentle and pure than the autumn moon.
