Sisters Toni and Marcy are Maui residents who were inspired to become Red Cross volunteers after their family and friends were impacted by the wildfires in Hawaii. “I had a niece lose her home, my brothers-in-law have all lost their homes. My friends have lost their homes,” Toni said. They joined forces with their cousin Ka’apuni and nearly 900 other Red Crossers who have been volunteering since the fires started. “The fire started on a Tuesday. The next morning, I deployed to help,” Ka’apuni said. We’re grateful that Toni, Marcy and Ka’apuni answered the call to help their community in need.
