Regret is a brutal thing.
-
Writing my book enabled me to traverse memories that I had never visited. To relive experiences with people I love and examine foundational patterns of how and why I have come to be and to interact with the world as I do.
-
It’s easy to look back and be embarrassed of actions of the past. For me - growing up as a teenager in a niche limelight of climbing enabled me opportunities to grow and also opportunities to fail. Both were often magnified as the sport grew.
-
But I am proud looking back at the moments in which I found my voice, defined my ethos, and how I continue to grow and learn through life experiences (the good, the bad and the ugly) and by the people I choose to surround myself with.

It’s easy to get stuck in modes of critique, beating yourself up for decisions you made in the past but give yourself a break and keep moving forward. That’s all we can do; do our best. Practice kindness and respect to others. And be open to what’s to come. We write our future ✍🏻
