I find the data accurate comparative to a chest strap (which I find much less comfortable) and beyond that of a wrist watch’s data — the optical heart rate sensors work by using light to measure blood flow in capillaries beneath the skin - so while the top of your wrist is a convenient place for a watch, it is a challenging location for even the best sensors. Wearing this monitor on my arm offers an optimal amount of blood flow to gather heart rate data with accuracy equivalent to that of a traditional chest strap.
