Today we celebrate @joestrummer’s birthday, who is a personal hero of mine. Last weekend, I visited and DJ’d at @thepunkrockmuseum for Joe’s birthday weekend extravaganza where I also saw @theecjramone play a few songs honoring Joe. My appreciation for Joe Strummer stems from his influence on both music and activism. It's evident that Joe and I share a common ethos of utilizing our respective mediums to advocate for meaningful change. Here are a few art works I’ve created in honor of Joe throughout the years in collaboration with photographer @katesimon, who shot the first Clash cover.
