As a final year Uni student, it wasn’t exactly on my radar - I was going to world Uni games and then coming home to write my thesis. So when I qualified for Worlds my first thought was that I couldn’t go, I had responsibilities to attend to. Besides, it was just one team. I was going to keep running faster and make plenty more teams. I am eternally grateful to @alwynjones85 for telling me I had no idea what was in store for me and that I had to go. Long story short, that turned out to be the only global major I competed in the individual 400m. The race that qualified me, would stay my lifetime PB. And I graduated my degree just fine. All this to say, we have ideas and plans of how life is going to go but life throws us curveballs and gifts us opportunities so when you are presented the latter - seize them with vigor 💚💛 (oh and listen to people who are older and wiser than you)」8月17日 5時31分
