Aesop Nolita—familiar yet transfigured.

After almost two years of operating in a temporary design, Aesop Nolita is now open in its permanent guise. Inside, cylindrical counters reference the water towers which have been perching atop the borough’s roofs for over 100 years. Cedar planks bearing the patina of decades of water storage were reclaimed from them to become uprights for shelves—they sit in dialogue with the exposed joists of the ceiling, exchanging stories of Nolita’s past.
