“We always knew we’d do something different,” says Mariia Pashenko. As two ambitious architects, she and her partner, Koen Schaballie, were never going to do a tick the box extension –particularly as they had been living vicariously through their client projects for a decade. Instead, the couple turned their two-up, two-down into a Tardis-like home built with three generations in mind. “We doubled the footprint,” Mariia continues. “It was around 115sq m before and now it’s 230sq m.”
