We had planned to go on a road trip today with my family and my daughter… at 4:50, I sat outside, contemplating the sky turning into daylight, and as the sky was changing, this uneasy feeling only grew stronger until I just had to get up, I put my sneakers on and went out for a run… While running, I was still feeling weird and funky… and then I decided to SURRENDER to that uneasiness, & LISTEN … All kinds of signs started popping all@over the place, policemen everywhere, agitation, stress, aggressiveness everywhere, I saw two cars broken down, one accident blocking the street… AND I FELT IT!! Deep inside, i felt that I didn’t want to go on this road trip. I KNEW IT!!! But there was so much outside noise ( guilt, not wanting to disappoint my family’s expectations…) that I couldn’t hear the GUIDANCE OF MY INNER VOICE. I, obviously, decided right there and then to not go to the road trip. When I got back home from running, my mother told me the city and the place we were supposed to go to were incredibly busy and agitated today because Gustavo Petro (Colombia’s president) is visiting our city. And I started laughing of pure JOY… The confirmation of EVERYTHING I’d been feeling since I woke up! I KNEW IT! I knew it wasn’t the day to go there. And the FEELING!! MY GOD!! THE FEELING OF LISTENING TO MYSELF!!! Is better than anything!!! What if you take some time today? Sit down, go running, cook, clean, walk, danse… WHATEVER WORKS FOR YOU!
