First we did a conservation trek together with @conservationnation learning about the intersection of conservation and healthcare with our One Health project. Bonding with endangered golden monkeys who came to hang out with us where we learned the connection between animals and global pandemics. We were joined on the trek by 8 incredible children living in the region who had never had the opportunity to visit inside the Volcano National Park to see the monkeys. Then we met with their mothers to hear their stories, healthcare challenges, and gift them our Dignity Kits. They were especially excited to receive the menstrual health products such as our panty liner and period underwear. These products will make it easier for our girls to remain in school during their periods.
