This Barbie is an original! In 1959, she began to embark on her long list of careers, starting as a fashion model. She is pictured here in her original zebra swimsuit and white sandals.
 
Barbie has had over 200 careers so far. She has gone to the Moon, won presidential campaigns, and starred in dozens of films, to list a few.
 
Now in the collection of our @国立アメリカ歴史博物館, she came to us from a home in Bethesda, Maryland.
