I talk about my passion for tennis and specifically Wimbledon in my book so significant it was. I've had the pleasure of playing and being coached sporadically over the years but I've never played consistently enough to get really good at it, but as an athletic person (which I've definitely established I am in the last two decades) , I would have loved to spend my professional life doing just that. I love the process of getting fit, centred physically and mentally and being strong. I understand the dedication it takes to get to that sort of level and it appeals to my nature and it is that I love watching in the players. 😁 Watching Wimbledon specifically every year for me is so sweet and when I've ever had the opportunity to go and I have done, not least with one of my biggest tennis idols in my young life, Boris Becker, It feels unreal and magical. I say in my book that Wimbledon might as well have been on Mars, when I was a kid growing up in the north. For me it's the stuff of dreams. So here's me giddy as a kipper on court and refreshing my brain on my serve.
